Take a look at this insanely adorable treat bags I made using the new Go! Boxed Bag Die by Carolina Moore for AccuQuilt!
Aren’t they just darling?!! And the perfect size to Boo! a neighbor.
I started with a cute panel I found on the All Ohio Shop Hop.
The designs weren’t totally on grain, so I cut each one out seperately, leaving a 1/4″ seam allowance on 3 sides and 1″ on the bottom edge so I can box the bag out and make it stand up nicely.
Creating the boxed corners was made so much simpler by using the new Boxed Bag Die from AccuQuilt.
I lined up the corner at the one inch mark and just sent it through my Go!
I sewed two of the panels right sides together on the three long edges and then created the boxed corners. It seems like it could be difficult, but its really not.
You just squeeze the two opposites seams together, matching the stitch line and then sew a 1/4″ seam.
And there you go! A boxed corner for the bag.
The new die also has the ability to cut darts and curves and I have plans to try that all out very soon!
AccuQuilt and Carolina Moore have several patterns available for the die on the website as well, so you can try out so many different projects!
There is a pincushion pattern that is on my to do list already!!!
Lovingly, Lissa
